What do they give him for his help, a yelling that since he isnt a BF passenger he cant go there and is not allowed to use the Lavs up there even thou they are empty and the ones in Coach have lines. ( this took place a couple of hrs after his helping out in BF)
I quickly got ahold of the FSM and explained how the Dr was yelled at etc, she turned Red and couldnt stop apologizing to him, the Dr said not 1 word about anything when yelled at, a real Pro in my eyes. The FSM said had there been an empty seat she would have moved him into it, she came back offering him to select something from the Duty-Free on CO, he said he didnt want to, as he helped cause he wanted to. and yes the FA who yelled at him knew that he had helped out both times to boot.
Wow...if I was the doc, when the person started yelling at me, I'd explain the situation to them. That's horrible.
As I stated in my original post, I didn't expect anything in return from CO. When we landed, someone from CO said a gift would be waiting for us on the return. That set our expectations. I suspect that she was going to upgrade us, but we were already in J. That said, at least a letter would have been nice.
The Captain was the same on the return leg and we chatted a bit in a galley area...he remembered me. Said I should hear something from CO. Turns out that our patient had a friend that did the same thing on EL Al and got two free J tix anywhere El Al flies in the mail about two weeks later.
Again, we acted because it was the right thing to do and we had the necessary skills to handle the situation. Didn't even think about it.
