Hey Gb,

The reason O/W cost more than a R/T is because O/W reward comes straight from the classicplus availability which is revenue availabity. R/T rewards comes (if you're lucky) from classic availability which is real reward availability. And obviously the classic plus ticket cost more as all seat are avail.

So go ahead and book a 15K R/T ticket and just book the return date as one year from now* and when you want you can change it for an other date for 55 bucks. You can even make it an open jaw like YYZ-BDL / BOS-YYZ.

* Keep in mind max permitted return date is 1 yr from date of outbound travel. So if you take your YYZ BDL flight tomorrow March 16 you can use your return portion up until March 15 2008.
