Looks like my previous hotel update needs an update. Yesterday when we arrived back at the hotel for our afternoon cocktails, we saw workers putting up temporary fencing around the older pool. They have now drained it. According to the front desk, they found cracks in the pool wall that required repair, possibly from the other pool construction. They decided to regrout the entire pool. This (supposedly) was not a planned event. But they have been VERY slow to get the word out about it. They should have told us at checkin.

I'm not particulary worried about it since the new pool is available. But if I were here with young children, I'd be really ticked off since the old pool has the water slide and kiddie pool.

They have also closed the pool bar. The only bar open is the new one on the terrace at the Hawaii Calls restaurant.

Checking the TV listings shows no Court TV or Lifetime. Its the usual Marriott selection with HBO, local channels and news, Golf, Food, USA, sports, etc.
