Agreed, though--this is a good feature. Just two more big things left for online reward booking:
-Stopovers
-More partner travel
I called the rewards desk a month ago to redeem tickets for my in-laws. I had already looked online and there was tons of availability but I couldn't find the right flight times. Took me an hour and a half to get it booked for a straight round trip.
I didn't care to do it again for an open jaw.
Maybe I will take your advice and call the desk again next time. I guess it is luck of the draw.
