Can I skip the Thalys segment on (ZYR)-CDG-YUL?
Hi

I live in Paris and looking to get to Montreal next month. I price a CDG-YUL-CDG on airfrance.fr and the cheapest fare comes to €677. For the same dates (and the same transatlantic flights), airfrance.be sells me a ZYR-CDG-YUL-CDG-ZYR for €566. I know all the general rules about not being able to skip a segment but this is a train we are talking about. You have to get out at CDG, claim your bags and essentially check in again for your transatlantic flight. Does anyone have any experience with skipping the train and starting the journey in Paris?

I would appreciate your input. Thanks in advance.
