what's happening with the houses now? ground staff said KL should put them in sealed inflight duty free bags, but that certainly didn't happen to us (it was the first day of the new rules).

(i wouldn't mind breaking the seal and drinking the gin before AMS security, but all sharp objects would have been checked in already... )

also, according to the rules, duty free liquids bought at a non-EU airport will be confiscated by security in AMS if you are transferring to another flight, since only the EU airport duty free seals are recognised.

has anyone experienced what happens in AMs to people taking, say, california wine to india?
