Just to confirm that insanity still reigns at AMS - I had my little blue house confiscated on my way to Rome from Manila. The security guy did not even give me a chance to protest, he just took it out of my carry on, "said this will not do" and immediately dropped it into the blue box. Darn - I only had the house for 30 minutes.

Yesterday I flew from Amsterdam to Vancouver and the security at the gate were still "protecting" us with these insane rules. I feel sorry for all the passengers from the Middle East etc who were connecting in AMS and lost all of their duty free booze and perfumes.
