I hope someone finds this helpful. I discovered it quite by accident. It seems that BA systems talk quite well to AA systems
(Note this only works if you have a booking with some BA or QF components)

1. Go to ba.com
2. On the right hand side of the home page you will see "Booking Reference" and simply place your AA record locator in the space provided for "Booking Reference" together with your last name
3. Click on 'Go'
4. BA computer churns away
5. Voila! You have an AMADEUS booking reference for your booking, as well as the details of your itinerary. You can then use the reference to look up checkmytrip.com and see frequent flyer details, etc.

The only downfall is that it won't show AA codeshares on QF (I'm not sure about AA codeshares on BA).
