Four Pax Traveling Together on Four Different Records -- Seating on Domestic J Flight

Hi All,

There will be four of us traveling together on three QF domestic flights (in J) in a few months. We are on four different records, but have the same last name. I am the only one with status and am traveling on a BA issued AONE6 ticket. The others are on AA issued award tickets.

I know QF does not assign seats in advance on domestic flights and I assume that the automated system will seat people on the same PNR together, but is it "smart" enough to figure-out that four people with the same last name, but on different PNRs woudl like to sit together?

If it matters, we will be on a 763 (SYD-CNS) and two 738s (CNS-AYQ and AYQ-SYD).

Thanks!
