Treatment has been different for me over the last month and a half. I am a lowly silver, but because I have done so much last minute travel since the beginning of the year (usually a friday booking for a sunday or monday flight) and always usually in a B or Y fare class. I get upgraded at time of booking.

Another experience I have had twice now which really is irritating is where I was waiting in line to board, both times in DFW- had my BP in hand holding my suitcase. There was a platinum behind me that had the nerve to say to me "you are only a lowly silver, how did you get an upgrade when there are 30 platinums on the list" to him I responded "I did something you diddn't my friend, I paid for my ticket - - any questions"

I am so tired of all the platinums thinking they are just magically entitled and better than anyone else on the planet.
Not sure how to say this any differently than I did before. On NWA, the paperwork we receive from the agent does NOT include status upgrade information. It does show operational upgrades as "YF", but if you're upgraded because you're an elite (silver, gold, or plat) and get your boarding pass with seat assignment from the agent, then you're on our paperwork as "FF", just like everybody else. It certainly does not show your fare class, whether it be B, Y, or anything else. There are other ways we can find out if you're upgraded, but it's not on our inflight paperwork. For the record, I don't think of Silver members as "lowly". You may not have travelled quite as much as our Platinums, but you do fly us a lot, and you're important to our bottom line. Frankly, we need every one of you.

And thank you, Avidflyer... I work F/C an average of 30-45 flights per month, you'll see me eventually...
