Well, this is still interesting to me...but I feel like I'm the only one and so I'm talking to myself. I think that's one of the problems with reviving an old post - most people feel like it's been gone over ad nauseam and simply ignore it. I (personally, of course) think this might be the real thing (then again, maybe not).
I checked again this morning (auction has about 20 hours to go) and last night's high bidder cancelled his/her bid which reflected just over $1000. but the bid cancellation info indicates they had bid $2500. That means the second highest bidder has bid around $1000.....and from what I could figure out before they went to "private" bidders, the high bidder was aafrauddept.
Of course - that could be any bidder's eBay id, but, if it is out of AA's fraud department...why don't they just pull the auction? It leads me to believe there must be some way someone could have an "extra" plat status hanging around. Then, I think, well, if they "earned" it somehow, then it should be theirs to do what they want. No?
Knowledge is power. Come on, somebody, help me understand this. Am I missing something completely obvious?
