The other side of the coin.

I do not smoke, neither does my wife but her father sure does. He is addicted, he knows it. He realizes it is bad for him. He cannot stop.

He uses the train, why? because he can smoke. He will reserve his seat in the smoking section as soon as he can. He will switch his route, schedule if necessary. He does not want to inconvience anybody else.

This will make traveling around Japan even more difficult. The government should ban smoking totally and make it illegal but until then, since they authorize the purchase of tobacco, they should allow smokers to travel around the country as well.

Let the flames begin.
