Brarrr, while it may not prevent it's 'hackability' it's another step that a person with less than honorable intentions would have to go thru to get to my personal information. IMHO the more steps the better.
As I said before, I've been the victim of ID theft and had to recover from same. Am I hypersensitive to my personal info, you BET I am... with good reason too... been there, done that and bought the t-shirt over and over.
I for one am glad that alaskasworld.com will no longer have public access pages since, quite frankly, IIRC, it is supposed to be for employee/retiree use anyways.
Whatever information you feel is your business, westcoastman, WILL come out, as sxf said, but, and this is my PERSONAL opinion only, I feel that the general public having had access to the employee site is simply not correct.
Regardless of *any* opinion, access changes on Thursday.
