They are protecting the information about their company that becomes public like any other company. If the fact that AS will fight the passenger bill of rights came from the employee website than, yikes, that hurts in the legislative and public relations front.
agreed - Alaska F/A, your personal data is no more secure with the addition of *this* password protection than it was beforehand. both sites (new and old) are still hackable in one sense or another; this change only restricts information flow. (I'm not judging the choice of restricting it, only saying that your assumption that the addition of password makes your personal information somehow more secure)
