Rather more time to eat and sleep on the latter! My comment above was meant to be a tad tongue-in-cheek (well, what else is there to eat on these flights, apparently? ). I do think ideally choice is a good thing and there will be people who want to eat at 2am and that's fine, they've paid their money for J. But it means you're killing the amount of sleep you're going to get in the nice flat bed. Again, your choice I agree...but on the longer flights this isn't an issue whereas it is on the shorter ones.

From the East coast I think the sleeper flights are a great idea and would rather than them than not frankly. From the Middle East, I'd rather not have a trolley service through the cabin at 2am. But I do think they could load something a bit more substantial for people who do want to eat (and serve it individually). Club Kitchen goes some way for that but is hardly ideal.

As for "People who read on ba.com that they get a 4 course meal on board so skip an earlier dinner" this whole tanget began because ba.com made it clear this wasn't the case! Read up and arm yourself with knowledge, don't come crying to me is my view on people who are still misled.
