For dining in Newcastle the new 'groovy' end of town is Honeysuckle . It is by the harbour so there is always lots to look at. You will find everything along this strip, from casual to fine dining. Which one you choose will just depend on on the type of experience you are after (and your budget!). I can personally recommend The Brewery Restaurant and The Dockyard.
