Unless something has changed recently, the earliest one can check-in at a kiosk for a flight is 6 hours.
I once tried to check in at a DL kiosk at LAX slightly more than 6 hours before the scheduled departure time of my flight......and it wouldn't let me until it was less than 6 hours.....at which time it printed out the BP for my flight.
