Thanks for the warning on the HPs. Dell is an option...I've had better luck with their desktops than their laptops however.

Dell has a bad name with their notebooks, but I really can't figure out why. I switched to them years ago and haven't had a single issue. As always, it does make sense to invest in an extended warranty.

Dell does have a presence in Honduras, so perhaps its worth checking to see if any of the US warranties can be used there in case something goes wrong.
