I usually prefer 2F as you have the tray table in front of you there whereas in 1F the tray table is in the armrest and is a lot smaller. If you have 2F you can also make use of the tray table in 2E for your drinks.
Also in 1F you need to place all hand luggage in the overhead bin during take-off and landing whereas in 2F you can place everything under seat(s) in front of you.
I.e 1F is not one of my favourite seats if I can choose.

Food service in shorthaul business class is "a cold meal with a hot item". OK but really nothing special. Free drinks of course including Nicolas Feuillate champagne which is quite tasty.
