I think they all are operated in a one-class configuration (there do not appear to be business class booking codes on the BRU flights). No way would I ever consider that flight. Last year, they were talking about operating them to Boston.
An alternate theory: they could be divesting of some of their less attractive airplanes in order to improve their odds of getting accepted into an alliance. However, if this were the case, a sizable portion of their 737 fleet would also be at risk.
Their 737-800 fleet is quite new and, in First Class, at least, really quite nice. I flew them in F from HAK to PVG and it was the best intra-China flight I've taken.
