I just discovered that some files can't be deleted the old fashioned way, however, if you go Tools > Internet Options > [General Tab] > Delete Files, it'll wipe out the ones that can't be deleted with Del or the "X" button on the top of the screen.
Interestingly enough, our friendly neighborhood Flyertalk had most of the "undeletable" files in the form of Photo Suite images. This coupled with the overly annoying pop-ups of late makes me less fond of the FT servers.
Firewalls are good for cable modem type connections, but MY friendly company computer geek says they're unnecessary for dial-ups.
I'm currently investigating SpyBot to stop spyware and all its associated little problems.
