I'd note that last week I flew in a 777 ATL-LGW and the Empower system couldn't power my laptop when it was playing a DVD (although it could charge it when it was switched off).

Given that my laptop only draws 65W, this was pretty surprising, but happily it has over 4 hours of battery life when playing DVDs.

I was using the inverter bought from BA, so makes it doubly surprising.

First, one should not have to use an inverter, you should simply be able to use a universal power supply, and second it should surely be able to power 65W.

The sooner BA upgrade their inseat power the better.
