I recall the old Continental using Dc-10's IAH-TPA in winter season.Also, wasn't he in St.Petersburg?Can't recall now, but there were a lot of DC-10's used especially seasonally to Florida,and A-300's.Now of course it's all 737's for the most part, but it was interesting when Continental "lite" was in operation, once from MSY-TPA I was put on the "local milk run" Embraer 120 as the nonstop 737 was overbooked.This was a Gulf coast runner with stops every few miles it seemed to TPA (three enroute, plus a massive thunderstorm around Tallahassee that we finally landed in).That was the 49.00 fare available then.
