Put me in the chocolate gifting camp; I do this quite often and although I have been semi-flamed in another thread, I plan to continue the practice.

I do not do this as a bribe, but as a thank-you for all of the great service that I have received through the years, and as a reminder that not all passengers will take them for granted.

I do not want or expect anything special in return, but this simple act of kindness has put many smiles on the faces of FAs -- and for this I know they like me! Of course, I am so darn charming that even without the candies I would probably be loved...
