Every UA flight over water I always gotten great service from the FAs. With or without the box of chocolates. But just not to find out what bad service is, I'll keep bringing the box.
I also remember once when I gave the chocolates to the purser, and she goes "Two can play this game" and handed me a bag of her own chocolates and let me take a few pieces Those trump'd my duty free ones
