I'm not qualified to give medical advice, but counsel that "drinking"--in this case, drinking
alcohol if I understand correctly, was cool, though not beneficial, is thoroughly suspect. It's also a counfusing double message, especially if intended as, "what you should do whenever you're on a plane."l
Drinking other liquids-- plain water, tea, coffee, juices--for the sake of hydrating her system, might well have been the intended message, and certainly what has most often appeared in the general press.
As to being liked or otherwise by FA's, I make no comment, but I do style myself, "Godiva Gifter"...
