The QM2 is not a traditional cruise ship. An ocean liner is a better term because it is built for ocean travel. That generally means faster than average speed and better stability in rough waters. Waves that will bring out the magic sick bags in the average cruise ship will be much less noticeable on the QM2. The ship is massive and has been doing circumnavigations the last couple years, but the world cruise offering is kinda sparse. There aren't a lot of ports that the QM2 can call at because of its size outside of the Caribbean, NYC and Southampton. With the Queen Victoria coming online this year, the Queen Mary is going to be doing more transatlantic crossings with the occasional Europe and Caribbean cruise.
