You are probably talking about the Beauchamp Hotel, which originally WAS a gay bar before it closed four years ago. It was renovated and reopened last year as a straight bar. I was curious and checked it out on a Friday night. Unfortunately, I found that there were no traces of its prior life as a gay bar.
