Exchange points for *A coupons?

I have some 80k points in my SAS Eurobonus account and I was told by a colleague that I can have these made into *A "coupons" that can be used for upgrade purposes with other *A partners. I have a long haul LH trip in April and it would be nice to upgrade to C on that one

I will contact SAS this week to check but perhaps someone here can verify or give some further details?
