Well, seems on several occasions, according to the regular postings on here, the “Loyalty Programme” only works one way – The Hotels Way.
Hi
Sorry I cant argree with you on that. Over the years I have had a number of upgrades and even upgrades on reward stays which I am certainly not entitled to but I did appreciate the actions of the hotel and made sure that I filled in a nice customer questionair and also emailed the hotels on completion of my trips to say "Thank You".
If I use a hotel and they dont upgrade me then I will look at using another hotel in the area but I will make it very clear to the most senior management person that they have lost me as a customer, its not the PCs fault that some hotel does not play ball. The best thing to do is complain during your stay and then chase it up with PC afterwards, you might be lucky and get a "Goodwill" points adjustment.
Take Dublin for an instance. The HI Dublin has now went back into their old ways, so I now use the CP at the airport and have been upgraded on every stay this year (apart from the weekend of the Ireland v England rugby but I knew there was no avaliability in the hotel). The cost differance between the hotels is not much at all.
Not much else advice I can give you.
regards
