They are here to make sure that flights are operated safely and according to the rules you have had the FAA approve on how you fly the plane. They are not here to help you make your schedules. Safety comes first, doesn't it?
Actually, I was speaking from the viewpoint of a licensed pilot. We keep hearing that the FAA is here to HELP us as airmen.
