2P can and does get you through elite security at SFO. The placard says it's for "elites" without specifying which type, if I recall correctly. My first time through I looked... and looked... and looked some more (as befits a lowly 2P) for something saying I wasn't allowed, that I wasn't elite enough. But that's not the case. I finally got up the nerve to ask someone, who said yes, you're OK. You just show your lowly 2P card and you're gold.

Now, could be that I could have shown a costco card and gotten through, but they were kicking quite a few out. And could also be that the new elite stuff they're building will be more selective. Too bad if so; it's one of the few really tangible benefits of being a lowly 2P over a non-elite.
