My partner & I (We were also wed in Canada in 2003) just finished a 7 day Disney Cruise. We were certainly only one of a few gay guests on the ship. We had a wonderful time. We were openly out, had formal pictures taken by the photographers which were than displayed by everyone to see, just like all the other guests'. We wore tails and top hats with Mickey ears. We only got compliments from others. We actually felts like celebrities. Many seemed to recognize us around thw ship. Two of our table companions were a young newliwed couple from Puerto Rico who were 7th Day Adventists. We got along famously.
I really do believe we must all overcome our internalized homophobia first. It's very hard at times. I still struggle with disclosure in certain situations--not that anyone with any gaydar couldn't tell!

But I would really encourage everyone to not hide (barring perhaps in Jamaica or Iran etc).
