If you ever think of doing this again, think "2 sets" of tickets. You could have purchased a R/T on LO from WAW to KRK for $89, with convenient connect times on your days to connect with BA. Interlining luggage might be a problem though.
I have purchased R/T tickets on LO between KRK and WAW, with an overnight in WAW. Once we even flew from KRK to WAW, stayed overnight in WAW, then to PRG the next morning at low R/T fares.
This year we have a similar trip from BUD to WAW, entire day and overnight in WAW, then to KRK the next morning, for an excellent fare.
