Let me back off a bit.
We were in Budapest last September (early part of the month) and it was bloody warm. Likewise our next stop, Rome.
I've done London in December (cold, no snow, warm pubs

) and Rome in December (extremely pleasant) and I'm getting to the conclusion that, with the current (seeming) trend in climate, my preferred time for Europe is slipping from September to October or even November.
So.
Having said that, I think Dawn might easily be pleased with a trip in October, whereas the February thing is just not on. Of course, if she's thinking of northern Scandanavia, all bets are off.
