I intended to use one of the travel packages for a cat 6 hotel, but I haven't booked it yet as I'm unsure of dates. I have booked a cat 7 package, just in case the hotel is upgraded to cat 7. It also allows flexibility - I can change my mind and book a cat 7 hotel instead. But if I originally reserved a cat 6, I would be stuck with a hotel that is cat 6 and below.
I booked the Category 6 travel package AND reserved the specific category 6 hotel on March 6th with confirmation that it was a category 6. My hotel is now a category 7 and my reservation in my Marriott Account now shows it as a category 7 and indicates "Please note that you have not yet ordered an e-certificate for this reservation".
According to UK Customer Services the categories changed on 5th March but they had obviously not changed the website on 6th.
Hopefully they will sort it out for me. Just wanted others who may have bought travel packages and booked hotels on the 6th to be aware of a potential problem with their bookings.
