How current is Seatcounter compared to "real time"

I just got off the phone with an AS agent trying to change a flight by a day. The same class "T" was showing on seatcounter, but they claimed it was a $200+ increase for the previous day. I called previously and could of made the change, but did not (unfort) due to other circumstances. So, is seatcounter.com "live" or does it have a delay, and is there any estimate of what the delay would be, if there was one. The agent said the internet was not "real time", but I did not say where I was checking either...

Thanks
