On my flight last month, I was in the middle aisle of BF into HKG, and it was a foggy night-- so can't really say which side was better for the view. But on my flight back to EWR I was on the left at the window and can say, I did not see anything of the city from there at 11am-- so perhaps you should go for the Left from EWR and the Right from HKG??
