Just reading the sister thread on the Marriott board, it seems (looking at an email sent by Marriott to a poster) that TODAY is the last day of the old policy and March 8th is the first day of the new policy. The deadline is therefore March 7th (ie today) although presumably they work on points.com US time so you have until the early hours of the 8th.
