I stand corrected AS Flyer.
But was the BI route authorties NWA
aquired...that does not mean they operated
BOS-BRU..etc. ( and I was wrong
about ORY.) However I would like to
clarify that untill '93 or so, long after
the RC merger and KL marketing agreement,
NW was still operating BOS to
GLA,LGW,CDG,FRA etc. and AMS.
They did also fly DTW-CDG.
After NW abandoned the BOS DC-10 base
they retained AMS....a full flight almost
any day of the year....The LAX-BOS-LGW
route was sold/traded to AAL..who then gave
it to DL ( who gave NW their old PA: DTW-
LGW route authority...etc.) DL tried to
make it work, but eventually pulled LAX-BOS-LGW. DL is still flirting with building up trans-atlantic ops. out of BOS. One would think that they would have learned from NWA's experiences. But I degress, and am way off topic. IP is going to strangle me for diverging so far from the NW-RC merger !
Thanks again for all the info.
