IP, your knowlege is impressive.

I was a DTW flyer for years...then a BOS
flyer ( which I am still to this day )
I do remember the North Central/Republic
merger well..at times disaterous...but
exciting none the less. I alsohappened to moveto BOS right when NWA was building a "secret hub" here. There were 20 , or so, departures to Europe,the Carribean, FL, and SFO,SEA,LAX I have fond memories of the non-stop ORD and DCA,and GLA,LGW,FRA,ORY.....
Even though NWA eventually abandoned BOS,
the loads on the trans-atlantics were very healthy.....almost till the end.

I am a bit foggy as to what NWA aquired at DCA. I have heard hat there was a secret hub there to...but I am not sure of its
focus or scope.

I do have some maps to add to, potentially
add to your missive. Sime early 80's stuff
with all the CA rts...and a great 1992
intl.

I do also remember that the sole survivor of
the 1987 DTW crash ( a harrowing sight on I94 ) was a 2 year-old. I wonder what happened to her ?
