Not to mention the aircraft hanger FULL of luggage (most of them tagless) that took several weeks to sort out and deliver...over 10,000 bags at one time I am told by those that were working there.
Also, many flights that were previously Republic flights were sold in both the NW and Republic computer systems (with full inventory available to each and no link between the systems) causing many flights to be booked at 200% of capacity.

Probably the WORST merger in airline history from a management standpoint...although some may argue the US/PSA merger or US/Piedmont merger are in contention...I have yet to hear anything that convinces me otherwise.
With the NW/Republic merger...America West was esentially born taking over LAS and PHX (previously Hughes AirWest hubs).

NW, at one time, fought for the purchase of AirWest but bowed out to Howard Hughes.
