Thanks for the fine history. Flying through DTW the day after the merger - and one could say during the next six months as well- was quite an adventure. We went from gate to gate, to waiting area and then from gate to gate again, each time finding the gate already occupied. An on-time arrival became an hour+ late arrival. Fortunately, most of the connections were equally late.
