Well, I was told it would take 15 minutes to prepare it (and it did), so I assumed it would be cooked "on the spot" - but of course, your explanation makes perfect sense.

To be fair to her, she does seem to have quite a reputation in China, and is featured prominently in
this year's Rheingau Gourmet & Wein Festival. I'd tend to blame LH for (a) potentially not having educated her enough about the difference between food freshly prepared on the ground and food re-heated on flight level 32, and (b) probably implementing her instructions in a way that is a little too cost-effective (quality of ingredients).

Fully agree, with the possible exception of the wines offered in longhaul C. Last time I flew F, I ended up asking for the C winelist, and found some wine on there I actually found better than the wines served in F (I could be an uninspired, mainstream kind of guy, though ...). I also find the FCT wine selection to be less than impressive (BA does a much better job in their LHR First lounges, and sometimes even the LHR Terraces).
