As CO Plats (both my wife and I) who fly ONLY NW, I can advise that if Platinum is within range, go for it.

Throughout the year I have seen more and more FC seats fill up with NW Plats and then CO Plats. Since we are 2nd on the food chain, I would not want to be futher down. This is especially true if NW does not match the recent CO elite moves. Many CO elites will figure just as we did that FC seats were more available with NW. The competition will only get tougher. Move up if at all possible.
