At least not for Silver. I tried to get NW to open up some "I" class space (25k u/g from M fares to WBC) on days when only Z-class was available. Even though I gave them a range of 10 dates and mentioned that if I can't u/g on NW I will travel in paid J on another carrier (really), the answer was no. I'll try again, some other trip, some other day, after I reach Gold...
