Since HSBC has International Branches, she should consult with her local office and see if it can be done through her existing relationship. While there are all kinds of internation laws to deal with, why not let them explain them or work them out. I'm sure there are plenty of people working abroad perhaps on a temporary basis therefore requiring that they maintain accounts at home that work interchangably.
