I agree that AA EXP is much better than US CP. That said, if you're only flying domestic out of LIT, it probably doesn't make that much of a difference. The real difference comes into play in terms of international and transcon travel. Also, as confirmed by an article in today's Wall Street Journal, using AA miles generally is a lot easier than using US miles.
