I used Southwest when I traveled often to New Orleans for my previous employer, but am not planning on using them anytime in the future unless they're the only airline that has a direct flight to where I'm flying to.
Since I fly every week, it wouldn't take me too long (4-6 months?) to achieve top status... but like your responses pointed out, maintaining top status at each might become difficult.
Hmm....maybe my best bet is to remain with US Airways each week after all? I just started to think that since I'll be top status (Chairman) in a month or so, that I could be missing out being top status on another airline as well. (Sorry, not trying to sound so spoiled.... but I fly twice a week (4 segments) so the upgrades do help add a little comfort to a hectic life/schedule).
Thanks again! Anymore feedback and/or suggestions would be great!

Mike
You could choose to wait until before a large trip and then contact American for a Plat challenge. One trip will often be enough to get you there. Then you have Plat while working toward EXP. Make sure you do it early enough in the year that you're sure to make EXP.
Is much of your travel international? If so, you might find AA a better choice. If you find that US Air gets you where you need to go 99% of the time, there's probably no good reason to switch.
