I am looking into this as well. This is the most creative route I'm thinking of, but not sure it's worth the hassle, red flags, whatever it might bring up.

slawecki I once had to carry large sums of cash too, and tried to find the right office to declare it. Gave up after a wild goose chase around JFK put me close to missing my flight.
I'll look into Commonwealth as well.
